AHSTW CSD Friday Update
Good afternoon,
I hope everyone is doing well!
The past few days have certainly been eventful, and I’d like to take this opportunity to provide an update regarding our area water concerns. As always, please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions.
Based on continued communication with city and regional leaders, I am encouraged to report that water levels are reportedly improving. While we may not yet be completely out of the woods, I’m confident that with everyone’s continued efforts, we are well positioned leading into the days ahead.
Looking ahead, I am encouraged heading into next week and as I stated in Thursday’s announcement, we do plan to return to school in-person on Monday, May 18, 2025.
Status:
- Water levels are currently sufficient for regular restroom use. However, in a proactive step, we have secured restroom trailers on-site. These trailers are fully functional, include a dedicated water supply, and will be replenished daily to ensure continued operation. While we hope they won’t be needed, we’re prepared should the need arise.
- We have two pallets of bottled water on-site with more available next week, if needed. This means all students will have access to bottled water if needed.
- Our lunch program is operational and prepared to serve meals.
In the end, I am grateful for the efforts of everyone to help our district and district’s around us to ensure that each of us can continue operations. While unforeseen challenges may still arise, we are in a strong position due to the planning and collaboration that has occurred.
I truly believe that our school facility is the best location for our students at this time, and I am excited to have the infrastructure necessary to finish our school year strong!
Have a great weekend and we will see you at Graduation on Sunday or back in school on Monday!
Regards,
Mr. Darin Jones
